Getting Started

Setting up your Company

We’ve designed Logistik Courier to be very easy to set up and roll out! After you’ve contacted us and have your account set up, these are the first steps you’ll need to take during your transition to using Logistik Courier.

Create your Vehicle Types

  1. Navigate to the “Admin” page
  2. Navigate to the “Vehicle Types” page
  3. Click the “action” button and select “Add Vehicle Type”
  4. Name your vehicle type (make sure the vehicle type is selected as “active”)
  5. Save your new Vehicle Type
  6. Repeat steps 1-5 for each vehicle type in your fleet

Create your Service Types

  1. Navigate to the “Admin” page
  2. Navigate to the “Service Types” page
  3. Click the “action” button and select “Add Service Type”
  4. Name your service type (make sure the service type is selected as “active”)
  5. Choose the Time Calculation Type.
  6. Set the Time Period or the End of Day Time
  7. Save your new Service Type
  8. Repeat Steps 1-7 for each service type your company offers

Create your Package Types

  1. Navigate to the “Admin” page
  2. Navigate to the “Package Types” page
  3. Click the “action” button and select “Add Package Type”
  4. Name your package type (make sure that the package type is selected as “active”)
  5. Select the types of vehicles that typically can haul this package type by selecting them from the vehicle types you’ve created
  6. Save your new Package Type
  7. Repeat steps 1-6 for each type of package your vehicles can haul

Create a Price List

  1. Navigate to the “Admin” page
  2. Navigate to the “Price Lists
  3. Click the “action” button and select “Add Price List”
  4. Name your price list (make sure that the price list is selected as “active”)
  5. Add any charges that apply to this price list by clicking on the “+add” next to the type of charge you wish to add

Create your Customers

  1. Open the side navigation bar and navigate to “Customers”
  2. Click on the “action” button and select “Add Customer”
  3. Enter the name for the customer
  4. Enter the customer code for the customer (by default this will be the first 4 letters of the customers name)
  5. Choose the driver visibility range for the customer (this setting will affect how customers can view the gps status of your drivers with their packages on board. The value “0” turns off gps tracking in the customer portal)
  6. Select which price list applies to the customer
  7. Select the pricing modifier for the customer
  8. Select which billing group the customer will be a part of
  9. Enter the customer billing address
  10. Press “Save” to complete the creation of the customer
  11. Repeat steps 1-10 for all of your customers

Create your Users

  1. Open the side navigation bar and navigate to “Organization
  2. Click on the “action” button and select “+Create User”
  3. Enter all of the user details for the user
  4. Select which roles apply for the user
  5. For Drivers:
    Set the commission rate of the driver
    Select the type of Vehicle a driver uses
    (optional) Set an ID for the driver (by default this will be the first 2 letters of the drivers first name, and their last initial. E.G. Josh Pierson would be JoP)
    (optional) Set a schedule for the driver
  6. Press “Create User” to save the user
  7. Repeat steps 1-6 for all of your organizations users
